Not Really Fishing - a Little Book of Riverside Moments from the WTT

The perfect Christmas stocking filler!

In the Spring 2021 newsletter, we asked members to write some ‘very short stories’ about their wildlife experiences whilst fishing. The response was tremendous, and we have now published them in a ‘little book’ along with lots of bite sized facts about wildlife and trout.

We hope we will capture a small part of the ‘Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing’ effect, which has captured a nation’s hearts with the warmth of the two men’s friendship. ‘Not Really Fishing - a Little Book of Riverside Moments’ similarly aims to show that there is more to fishing than catching fish.

If this little book is successful, we may produce another volume for Christmas next year. If you feel inspired to write a short story of 160 words or so, please send to Denise Ashton dashton@wildtrout.org.

We have used the Amazon ‘Print on Demand’ facility which means we don’t have to invest in a large print run and risk filling recycle bins with unsold copies. It is also very good value for money in terms of print costs.

Copies of the book are available now to buy from the WTT Website shop or from Amazon. (We make more profit from sales via the web shop).

The price is £5.99 plus £1.60 p&p. 104 pages. Paperback.

Profits will go to support our work in making river habitat better for fish and all wildlife.

Please share widely, order in bulk to give to friends or sell at your fishing club AGM!
