One day for 2 rods on one of two private lakes near Chelmsford, fishing from bank or boat for rainbow and brown trout up to 5lb+. Some sizeable carp are also in the water and sometimes take a fly. Each rod may retain up to four rainbows, but all brown trout to be returned. The day will be hosted by Dr Peter Willoughby and will include lunch in a local hostelry. 2019 season.
One day’s boat fishing for 1 rod on waters at Lullingstone Castle, Eynsford, Kent, plus lunch at a local hostelry. Catch up to 6 rainbows and retain 2. Barbless hooks compulsory. Also included is brown trout fishing on the River Darent, a Kent chalkstream. Wading recommended. Accompanied by a club member. May to Nov 2019 excl August; river closes 30 September.
One day for 1 rod on the River Mimram near Tewin in Hertfordshire. Approximately half a mile of chalkstream fishing for wild brown trout and grayling in a variety of pools, riffles and glides with easy access, dry fly or nymph. Catch & release. Chest waders and 7ft rod desirable. 2019 season from 15 May onwards. The Mimram can suffer from low flows so flexibility on dates is required.
One day for 2 rods on a middle River Itchen beat near Easton. A rare opportunity to fish this beat belonging to a small private club. Over ½ mile of mostly double-bank fishing for wild and stocked trout. Dry fly and upstream nymph only using barbless or de-barbed hooks. Catch & release encouraged.
