A Charfield committee member will accompany the successful bidder, either fishing alongside or showing the pools and lies as required. The river at Charfield is a small, fast-flowing limestone stream which holds a good head of grayling, wild brown trout, plus the occasional chub and roach. The riverbanks are steep so you will need to be reasonably fit and capable of making short, accurate casts, sometimes under overhanging trees and bushes. Small nymphs and a range of dry flies work well. Chest waders strongly recommended. 2019 season.
