A bracing winter evening (4−5 hours) for 1 rod, fishing the Fylde coast for cod, whiting, dogfish and bass with Thomas Myerscough of the Wyre Rivers Trust. Cod are the main target, around 2lb in weight but 5 – 8lb possible. You must be prepared to fish in cold and windy conditions, walk up to a mile and fish in the dark. Tackle (beach casting rods and multiplier reels) and bait can be provided but bring warm clothing and a head-torch. Some beach fishing experience would be helpful but not essential. October 2019 to January 2020, tide and weather dependent.
