Three-Fly Challenge raises £1830

The first WTT Three-Fly Challenge event at Meon Springs on 29th May has raised £1830 for the Pasco James Project.

The first Three-Fly Challenge event at Meon Springs fishery on 29th May 2010 raised £1830 for the WTT 'Pasco James' project (pascojames.com). Twenty-two anglers took part and battled the rain to catch more than 60 fish mostly on the dry Kite's Imperial from the top. Graham Brown (JL Partnership FFC) won with three fish caught on the dry fly and with an overall points score of 32.1, in second place was Anthony Atkins (Aki) from Orvis with a points score of 30.1. Gary Faithfull (WTT member and JL Partnership FFC) caught the heaviest fish at 3lb 14oz. Prizes were presented by our Director Shaun who praised the fishermen taking part for their support and dedication in the rain.


Next year's Three-Fly Challenge will be held on Saturday 11 June, 2011 at Meon Springs fishery and be sponsored by the John Lewis Partnership with all proceeds going to the WTT.
