WTT Staff Christmas Roach Party!

So, Andy's idea was that our WTT staff Christmas party could be held on the river bank, trying to catch roach; and that's what we did. What's really odd is that we did actually catch some roach!

The water conditions on our southern river were perfect, a little up and coloured, so link-ledgered and float-fished bread did the trick for some really nice roach. Tim Jacklin took the best fish at bang-on 2lbs, but Paul Gaskell won the day in terms of numbers of fish, including two over 1.5lbs. Andy Thomas took a splendid fish over 1.5lbs (he claims, though witnesses were notably lacking), leaving just news of Denise and Shaun. Well... Denise took the pike fishing option but was robbed by some poor advice from the others. Shaun is keen to gloss over the roach issue and to claim both the biggest grayling and minnow in the (roach) match! Christina wisely exercised her prerogative to stay in the warm, probably to dream of huge roach…
