Five nights’ accommodation plus 5½ days guided fishing for 2 rods in the western Spanish Pyrenees. Fishing for native zebra (Mediterranean) trout up to 2lb on dry flies and 3-4 weight rods. This is a unique fishing experience in a stunning environment that is very difficult to access in any other way. You will have expert local guides to drive you on private roads into the ‘high country’. Your base is La Jacetania lodge in Santa Cilia, a very comfortable lodge with traditional Spanish food and wine in generous quantities. Previous lot winners have commented on the quality of the guiding, food and accommodation as well as the fishing and that it is a Spanish cultural experience rather than a typical fishing lodge – and so much more enjoyable for it. Best time for high-country fishing is 1 June to 31 August. Not included: international flights, gratuities. Nearest airport: Zaragoza. To be taken in 2017.
